Support for operating costs in long-term drought
As part of the Australian Government’s recent commitment of an additional $1 billion in concessional loan funding, the Drought Hardship Loan will be available nationally and open to farmers in the first half of 2026.
It will be for farm businesses who have experienced drought for at least 24 months and expect conditions to continue into the next season.
Designed to assist with operating expenses in long-term drought, the Drought Hardship Loan will help ease cashflow pressures and assist with paying bills, purchasing feed or carting water.
